Growing Through Opportunity. <\/h4>\n<p>\nThe Crossroads Group, LLC (TCG) was founded in May 2006 in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, by four owner-operators with a commitment to providing responsive, practical professional services and building lasting relationships with their clients and communities. \n<\/p>\n<br>\n<p>\nWhat began as a small local firm has steadily grown by recognizing opportunities, responding to client needs, and bringing together people with complementary expertise. Land surveying was added to TCG\u2019s capabilities in 2009, followed by the acquisition of Richard C. Parsons Land Surveying in 2011 and the establishment of a second office in Elysburg. These early years established a pattern that continues to shape TCG today: thoughtful growth built around people, relationships, and the needs of the communities and industries the company serves. \n<\/p>\n<br>\n<p>\nIn 2013, TCG expanded into engineering and surveying services for the telecommunications industry, developing what would become a dedicated Architecture and Engineering (A\/E) department serving clients throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. As the company continued to grow, its Quakertown operations relocated to Hamburg in 2015, establishing a stronger presence in Berks County. \n<\/p>\n<br>\n<p>\nTCG continued to invest in both its people and its communities. The company purchased a permanent headquarters in Hamburg Borough in 2020 and a permanent location for its Elysburg office in 2021. That same year, TCG established a dedicated Telecommunications Real Estate department, expanding its ability to support clients throughout the eastern United States. \n<\/p>\n<br>\n<p>\nMore recent growth has further broadened the company&#8217;s capabilities. The 2024 acquisition of Boyer Engineering brought an experienced team into TCG and led to the creation of a dedicated Municipal Services department serving communities throughout Berks County and the surrounding region. In 2025, TCG added a dedicated Information Technology department, extending the company&#8217;s practical, service-oriented approach to the technology needs of small and mid-sized organizations. \n<\/p>\n<br>\n<h4>Growing Without Losing Sight of What Matters <\/h4>\n<p>\nToday, TCG is a multidisciplinary organization providing land surveying, engineering, land development, municipal consulting, telecommunications A\/E and real estate services, and information technology consulting. While the company&#8217;s capabilities and geographic reach have expanded considerably since 2006, its approach remains rooted in the principles on which it was founded: accessibility, responsiveness, practical problem-solving, and strong relationships. \n<\/p>\n<br>\n<p>\nTCG&#8217;s growth has never been simply about becoming larger. It has been about developing the expertise and resources to better serve clients, creating opportunities for employees, and becoming a more capable partner to the communities and industries that rely on the company. \n<\/p>\n<br>\n<p>\nThat same philosophy extends beyond project work. As the largest of the three offices, they offer a full array of\n      all our services. What started in Quakertown, PA, has strategically\n      relocated for easy accessibility to land development and telecom sites\n      throughout Pennsylvania.\n      <br>The culture of this office, and TCG as a whole, is that of many\n      family owned businesses. We work diligently with our clients to\n      achieve their goals in a timely and cost-effective manner. We maintain\n      this ethic for our teams as to encourage and improve upon individual\n      skills and improve quality of life. The Hamburg office enjoys friendly\n      competitions and social events. Parsons Land Surveying in November 2011.\n      This team has since grown and moved just down the road to the Bebenek\n      \u2018Crossroads\u2019 Plaza in Elysburg, a truly fitting location! The Elysburg\n      team offers full engineering services in addition to the mainstay\n      surveying that got this office started. Although\n      this office started out as a small remote group of 3, after adding a\n      few new team members, they are now officially established in\n      Bridgeville, PA. While the Pittsburgh office specializes in wireless\n      telecommunications, their abilities extend to fiber engineering and\n      data collection\/field audits in the tri-state area of Western PA,\n      Central\/East Ohio, and West Virginia. Additionally, the team works to\n      support both the survey and land development services in Hamburg and\n      Elysburg. TCG Pittsburgh believes that the best way to break up work\n      tension is a visit from our furry friends or a potluck style lunch. Hoagland<\/h4>\n          <span>President<\/span>\n          <p class=\"not-active\">\n\t\t\tI grew up on a rural working farm located just east of Elysburg, Pennsylvania.  I received my high school diploma from Southern Columbia High School and my Bachelor of Science Degree from Wilkes University.  I spent those years being very active in scholastic and collegiate activities and organized sports.  Upon graduating from College, I found my career in Civil Engineering which led to co-founding The Crossroads Group, LLC in May of 2006.  Through the company\u2019s growth and expansion, my family and I moved to Ontelaunee Township in 2015, where we currently reside.  In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially outside fishing, hunting, hiking, or relaxing at the beach or by a warm mountain campfire. \n\nSince co-founding The Crossroads Group, LLC in 2006, my responsibilities include all facets of small business ownership, which often require multi-tasking between company financial planning, business marketing and human resources all while maintaining a high level of active project workload as a Land Development Project Manager as well as the head of the Land Surveying Department.  As the company grows, I still strive to maintain an active project-related workload. However, I also deeply enjoy the role I increasingly play in mentoring and encouraging our younger staff as they pursue their own goals in this industry. \n\nThe journey in business ownership has been a true blessing as I have watched it grow from less than and hand-full of full-time staff and an intern, to where we are today.  While the company is headquartered in Hamburg, PA, we also have offices in Elysburg, Douglassville, and Pittsburgh. Hoagland<\/h4>\n          <span>Vice President<\/span>\n          <p class=\"not-active\">\n            I started with TCG as an intern back in the summer of 2007.  Since then, I graduated Johns Hopkins in May 2008 with a degree in Civil Engineering and a minor in Entrepreneurship and Management.  Shortly after, I came on as a project engineer and EIT, and spent the next four and half years working towards my Professional Engineer license.  After successfully passing my PE exam in June 2013, I took over and have since been in charge of the Engineering Standards and also working as Vice President of TCG.  I have extensive experience in stormwater management, erosion and sedimentation control, and zoning compliance throughout the commonwealth and multiple other states like Ohio, New York, West Virginia, and Delaware to name a few.  In addition to stormwater I\u2019ve completed many minimum use and low volume driveway and ROW permits with PennDOT, done a few Sewage Water Quality permits, all components of Sewage Planning Modules, and a variety of low pressure force main designs.  My favorite part of being an owner at TCG is building relationships with client\u2019s and employees, so that we have a true team. Throughout my career I\u2019ve enjoyed learning many different aspects and disciplines of network deployment.  I began this journey as a Site Acquisition Specialist in the Washington\/Baltimore market for a New Site build program for T-Mobile.  What an introduction!  It was a challenging place to start and really helped shape me for what was and is yet to come.  During that time, I focused on learning everything that I could about the equipment, RF design, and construction.  Going into and industry that I had no experience I found comfort in the mindset that knowledge is power and that was how I would succeed.  Quickly I had found myself managing projects for new site build, site modifications, an emergency MW deployment when FiberTower went bankrupt, and then then fiber deployment as 4G really started to take shape.  There were a couple of stops along the way with an engineering company and a stint at Verizon as an equipment engineer \u2013 but ultimately managing a fiber project there also.  After that, I had an amazing opportunity to start a market for an engineering company.  It was very much a start-up atmosphere and it was a rollercoaster of a ride in every sense.  I was fortunate to learn so many things about business and leading people.  It truly molded my philosophy of how to lead as a person first and a manager second.  I had some incredible influences along the way, both positive and negative.  What one does with experience is what defines them as a leader.  You can either carry on the tradition of managing by force or fear, treating people as pieces on a game board, or you can take the difficult road of leading with empathy, support, and kindness.  I chose the latter \u2013 it is infinitely more rewarding to be the reason someone believes in themselves.  \n\t\t\tOutside of Telecommunications, I have had military experience in the Army Reserves as a field medic, I\u2019ve been a bus person, a cook, a kitchen appliance installer, a salesperson and probably a few other things that I have forgotten about at this point.  I enjoy all types of music (always will be a metal head at heart) and enjoy playing the guitar.  My wife and I have two rescue pups (Gibson and Les Paul) and a Mother In Law that lives with us.  We call her Alice, and although she doesn\u2019t quite live up the name, we\u2019ll keep her for now. She brings with her\n            telecom-centric real estate and construction expertise after serving\n            the Washington\/Baltimore market for 13 years \u2013 10 of those spent\n            overseeing AT&amp;T site development. Originally from New Jersey (hold\n            the judgement) and having studied studio art and graphic design in\n            college, she\u2019s happy to be a part of this rockstar team knowing full\n            well that killer engineering is the best foundation to securing\n            entitlements, safe civil deployments, and ultimately happy\n            customers. She\u2019s passionate about quality work and building a great\n            team \u2013 which starts with servant leadership. When she looks around\n            the table, she\u2019s happy to know that\u2019s exactly what she\u2019s found \u2013\n            surrounded by the good guys. My duties include delegating and overseeing the work of CAD drafters, establishing departmental standards for software, techniques and tools to prepare drawings and plans.  \n\t\t\tI graduated from Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology in Lancaster, PA with an Associates of Applied Science Degree in Architectural Drafting and Design.  In the past 20 years I have developed my skills in architectural, project management and civil engineering design. I also have extensive knowledge in the surveying industry with office and field coordination related to topographic, boundary and as-built surveys. I also work with the development of 3D renderings to show clients what their project could look like in 3D.  \n\t\t\tI grew up on a small farm in Chester County, so I have a great love of the outdoors and nature.  In my free time I enjoy fly-tying, fly fishing, tasting bourbons and spending time with my family.  I currently reside in Boyertown with my wife and teenage step-daughter. In the fall of 2022 I transitioned into a role running the survey department.  Born and raised in Central PA, I graduated from Midd West High School with a GED and Pennsylvania College of Technology in 2011 with an Associate\u2019s degree in Surveying.  I started my surveying career when I was a junior in high school and never looked back.  Working for small surveying companies the whole way up to 300+ person Architect\/Engineering\/Surveying firms, I have a diverse background with a wide bredth of experience in the survey field. I have worked on projects all along the east coast ranging from PennDot, DEP, Marcellas Shale, Natural Gas Powerplants, construction stakeout, boundaries, ALTA\u2019s, Land Development, and many more.\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tAlthough being new to the role played in the office, I enjoy taking on new and difficult tasks along with helping better TCG\u2019s survey department. I plan on furthering my professional career by sitting for his SIT exam and working to becoming a PLS. I pride myself in being a team member, communicator, and always trying to support and lift up whoever I have the oppertunity to work with. My journey began in control systems, working with top brands like Crestron and Lutron, where I got my hands dirty in everything from installation to system design and integration. This experience led me to dive deep into healthcare systems, specifically with Rauland, where I sharpened my skills in integrating complex digital systems.\n\nThroughout my career, I\u2019ve focused heavily on computer networking and how diverse systems can work together seamlessly. Whether it\u2019s planning, designing, or troubleshooting installations, I\u2019ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of systems\u2014from simple setups to more complex network integrations.\n\nAs the Technology Manager, I coordinate directly with customers, from individuals to large teams, ensuring that their technology solutions are not only functional but optimized for their specific needs. I take pride in my ability to translate technical jargon into clear, actionable solutions that resonate with clients.\n\nIn addition to my work in technology management, I\u2019m an FAA certified Drone Pilot. My drone work supplements the data capture of our survey team, significantly improving the quality of outputs both externally and for the internal Engineering team.
